I just wanted to take a moment to talk about the incredible work of the first responders and medical personnel during the tragic events of August 19, 2021, in Edgewood. I can't even begin to imagine the pressure and intensity of arriving on scene to such chaos, with multiple people injured and lives hanging in the balance. The deputies, EMTs, and everyone involved really deserve our appreciation for doing everything they could for Charles Robert Pugh Jr. and the others affected that night. Also, seeing that Charles had to be airlifted to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore really highlights just how severe the situation was. It's a reminder of how crucial trauma centers and the dedicated teams there are in emergencies like this. My heart goes out to Charles' family and friends, especially knowing he didn't survive despite all efforts. This marks a grave loss for the community. I hope those with any information will come forward to help bring some sense of justice and closure.
