Reading about Remi's case is incredibly sad, and it's tough to imagine what her family, especially her children, are going through. I haven't seen much discussion about the impact this has had on the community itself. Being so active and generous, Remi must have touched many lives in Hyattsville. I think it's important to remember not just the victim but also how the community came together—or could come together—in response to such a tragic event.
