Hey everyone,
I’ve been following Marco Nunez’s case closely. Something that’s really sticking with me is the role of bystanders on that tragic night. I can’t stop thinking about how those around could have possibly diverted the situation. I’m not pointing fingers or saying anyone was responsible, but it’s just so heavy on my mind how quickly these situations spiral when tensions rise.
I live near where it happened and often hang out in Fells Point myself. It makes me think about how crucial it is for everyone to know basic de-escalation techniques or even just how to safely distance themselves when they see an altercation starting. We sometimes can feel powerless, but maybe there’re little things we can do that might have a bigger impact than we think.
Does anyone know if there are any community workshops or something that focus on de-escalation or safety awareness? I feel like it could be a positive step forward and a way to honor Marco's memory. It's just so important to feel safe in our own neighborhoods. Sending love to Marco’s family and friends during this incredibly tough time.
Hello everyone,
I've been following Marco Nunez's case closely, and I find myself continually thinking about the impact this tragedy has had on the Fells Point community, particularly the bars and clubs where he worked. Being a bouncer is a tough job; it requires a special kind of person to handle the chaos of nightlife while maintaining a sense of safety and order. By all accounts, Marco was not only efficient but also someone who genuinely cared about people, always making patrons feel welcome and safe.
I can't imagine how challenging it must be for the staff at Rodos Bar and the Riptide to go back to work, knowing how things unfolded that dreadful night. Losing a coworker in such a violent way surely has lasting effects on everyone involved, not just emotionally but in how they perceive their own safety now. Has anyone heard how these businesses are coping, or if there are plans to honor Marco's memory in some way? It just seems so important to keep his spirit alive while pushing for safer environments for everyone.
Sending my heartfelt condolences to Marco's friends and colleagues. Let's keep sharing any information that might help ensure justice is served fully.
Stay safe,
