I’ve been thinking a lot about the Milligan case lately, and my heart aches for the friends and extended family members who must be grappling with this unthinkable loss. It’s hard to wrap my head around how something like this could happen. What really gets to me is understanding how someone so deeply involved in their family’s life like Marcus was could reach such a breaking point. There’s no doubt that he was struggling with something beyond comprehension. It makes me wonder about the importance of mental health awareness and resources in our communities. We need to be more attuned to the silent battles those around us might be facing. I truly hope the community can come together to honor Finn, Teresa, Nora, Tara, and even Marcus, in a way that prompts real discussions about prevention and support.
