I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of community in providing support during these horrible situations, like in Jermel Tyler Brown's case. It seems like, when something so tragic happens, people often feel isolated in their pain, but I hope Jermel's family felt the community rallying around them, offering support. The fact that local residents were so vocal in their demand for justice is at least a small comfort. It's a painful reminder of how critical it is for communities to stay engaged and ensure the voices of victims and their families are heard. It’s sad knowing that this family was thrust into a spotlight they never asked for, yet I hope they found some solace knowing they weren’t alone in seeking justice for Jermel. Anyone else feel like community support can make a meaningful difference in how we cope with such traumatic events?
