I was thinking about the impact Jamey's case has had on his local community. It's hard to imagine how such a close-knit place like Longs has had to process something so shocking. From what I’ve gathered, after his passing, there were several community meetings that were organized to address not only the loss but also the safety concerns in the area. It seems like these gatherings are crucial for the community to come together, share their grief, and figure out how to move forward in a way that honors Jamey. My heart goes out to his family and friends, who must be enduring such a painful loss every single day. The calls for justice and for enhanced community safety are completely understandable. It’s sad that it's often a tragedy like this that forces necessary conversations about change. I just hope that those who knew Jamey find some solace in the support they’ve gained from each other and from the wider community in Longs. Sending thoughts and strength to all who are missing him.
