Has anyone else been reading up on the crowd dynamics at that year's Atlantic Beach BikeFest in Myrtle Beach? It’s unnerving to think about how such a vibrant event might have contributed to the tragedy that claimed Sandy Gaddis Barnwell's life. The festival attracts massive crowds, but proper security and crowd control seem to have been lacking that night. I wonder if the sheer number of people made it difficult for witnesses to come forward or provide detailed accounts? It’s so crucial for festivals with this kind of turnout to have robust plans to ensure everyone’s safety and to make sure that incidents like what happened to Sandy, Devonte, and Jamie don't go unresolved. My heart goes out to their families who are still searching for answers. I hope the authorities can learn from this and implement more effective safety measures for future events.
