I've been following the case of Don Eric Skinner Jr. for a while now, and it really weighs on me how much his family, especially his young daughter Alicia, must still be hurting from the lack of answers. I can't imagine what it must be like for her to grow up without her dad and still not know what truly happened to him. I've been thinking a lot about the role of the community in supporting families like the Skinners. The fact that the investigation has stagnated is undeniably frustrating, but I've seen how a strong community can sometimes bring new information to light and apply pressure on authorities to keep pushing forward. Does anyone here have advice or experience regarding community efforts that have helped generate new leads in cold cases? I'm convinced that somewhere out there, someone knows something. It's just a matter of keeping Don Jr.'s story alive in hopes that justice will be served someday. My heart goes out to Sydaria, Alicia, and the rest of his family and friends. I hope they find the closure they deserve.

I recently stumbled upon the tragedy of Don Eric Skinner Jr., and my heart goes out to his family and friends. One aspect that's really puzzling to me is the investigation process. It seems like it's been years without any significant leads or breakthroughs. How does a case like this just seemingly stall out? I can't imagine the frustration and sorrow his loved ones must feel. Can anyone familiar with the Charleston area provide insight into how cold cases are handled there? It seems like the community would have rallied together more, given how beloved he was. It's just so unfortunate that someone so young and with so much left to give is gone, and those responsible haven't been brought to justice. Hoping someday, somehow, answers will come.
