I can't stop thinking about the effects of this tragedy on Patricia's family and friends. It's absolutely gut-wrenching to imagine what her loved ones are going through, especially knowing that someone she trusted and cared for was responsible for her death. It’s hard enough to lose someone suddenly, but even more so under such violent circumstances. What really gets me is the thought of how Patricia might have felt leading up to that moment on January 11, 2015. Was this a one-time incident, or were there signs of escalating tension that might have been overlooked? If anyone else is familiar with domestic violence resources or programs in the Edgefield area, it would be great to share. Raising awareness can help prevent similar tragedies. Her family deserves all the support they can get. My heart goes out to them.
