Hey all, I've been following the case of Charles Best Jr. and Lindsey Bedenk, and I'm really taken aback by the timing and location of their tragic decision. They chose the Ravenel Bridge, just two days before the big Cooper River Bridge Run. I can't help but think about the symbolism here. Bridges often represent connection and transition, and it breaks my heart to think of them making such a permanent choice in a place meant for connecting people and communities. It also makes me wonder how their struggles went unnoticed or if they had reached out to someone for help. For them to plan such an event speaks volumes about their state of mind and possibly the feeling of overwhelming isolation.
