Does anyone else find it really unsettling that this happened in what seemed like a typical home? I'm thinking a lot about the other three people who were there during this horrible event. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma they must be dealing with right now. It's so important we remember not just Verkina, who was a victim of such a senseless tragedy, but also those who witnessed this crime firsthand. I hope they are receiving the support they need while they grapple with these life-altering experiences. And major kudos to the community and law enforcement for working together so effectively—that's definitely a positive takeaway in such a sad situation.
