I’ve been pondering the role that community support can play after reading about Deshaun Antwan Owens. This young man seems to have been truly cherished and respected by everyone who knew him. It strikes me how vital it is for communities to rally together in times of tragedy, not just for the immediate family but for everyone impacted by such a senseless act of violence. I wonder if Hartsville has any community initiatives or support groups in place? It seems like collective healing and awareness could really make a difference in coping with this loss and working towards preventing similar incidents. My heart goes out to Deshaun's family and friends who must navigate life without him. It’s evident his presence left a positive mark on those around him. If anyone is familiar with local efforts or knows how outsiders can help, I would love to hear more.
