I can't stop thinking about how quick the actions of those bar employees and patrons were that night. The fact that they managed to remove Bethel from McCary's Bar and Grill in the first place is nothing short of brave. They were trying to keep everyone safe, and it’s so tragic that even those efforts couldn’t prevent the loss of lives. Just imagining the chaos and fear during the shooting makes my heart go out to everyone who was there, especially the friends and families of Tolliver Wise and Christopher Lott Jr. It's a grim reminder of how fragile life can be and how even everyday heroes can only do so much when faced with senseless violence.
