I've been following the case of Christopher Lott Jr. and Tolliver Wise, and I can't get over the sheer tragedy of it all. I recently came across a discussion somewhere about the importance of bar security procedures, and it got me thinking about how crucial it is to reinforce these measures. It seemed like the bar staff did what they could by asking Bethel to leave, but maybe there could have been some additional steps, like immediately alerting authorities when someone banned shows up? I'm not blaming the staff—they were obviously put in a really tough situation. But maybe there's a lesson here about how establishments can work with local law enforcement to have a plan in place for when things escalate. This was such a senseless act that took away two lives and forever altered others. My heart goes out to Christopher’s loved ones who have to deal with this unimaginable loss. The community deserves to feel safe in places that are supposed to be zones of relaxation and fun.
