I’ve been following the case of Landis Osbey, and one thing that really strikes me is the total bravery he showed. It breaks my heart to think about what he must have been feeling in that moment when he decided to stand up and protect his mom. I can't imagine the courage it took to face someone as dangerous as Rashard Mandrell Smith, especially considering Smith's alarming criminal history. It’s frustrating to see that someone like Smith, with multiple previous offenses, was still in a position to commit such a violent act. I genuinely hope this case leads to stricter measures to keep repeat offenders from causing more harm. My thoughts are with Landis’s family and everyone affected by this tragedy. ?
I've been following the case of Landis Osbey and just can't stop thinking about how brave he was to step in and try to protect his mother. It's absolutely devastating that his life was cut short because of it. I can't imagine the pain his family is going through right now, especially his mother who must be dealing with guilt on top of her grief. It's so troubling that Rashard Mandrell Smith, with his history of violence, was still able to be around the family. I hope justice is served, but more importantly, I hope the family finds some peace and healing. What additional safeguards could be put in place to better protect families from repeat offenders like Smith?
