Has anyone been following the Torrian Oree case from March 2021? I just came across a thread discussing how young he was and how he left behind a little girl. It’s just so profoundly sad to think about. It’s hard not to feel for his brother, Pastor Jeffrey Williams, trying to process this immense pain while being a source of strength for the community and his family. He’s even talking about starting a youth foundation in Torrian’s honor to prevent violence among young people. It’s inspiring to see such resilience and a commitment to making a positive change after such a devastating loss. I keep thinking about how violence impacts not just the immediate victims, but ripples out affecting everyone around them. If only we could come together as communities to find more proactive ways to prevent tragedies like this. Has anyone heard more about the foundation they’re planning? How can we support families like theirs to make these positive changes a reality?
