It's been over six years since David Hardy Jr. vanished, and something that's been on my mind is the groceries that were left in his car. It’s such a haunting detail. The fact that they were spoiling suggests to me that David was likely disoriented but trying to carry out a familiar task—maybe grocery shopping was something he often did, a comforting routine. It's clear he was trying to get back to a place he recognized or felt safe.
For anyone who’s been following his case, do you think it’s possible that he planned to stop somewhere for help and just got even more lost along the way? The sighting in Oakdale makes me wonder if anyone there noticed anything unusual that day. Has anyone heard if any new witnesses have come forward over the years? It would be a relief if someone new has information, however small it might seem.
Has anyone else been following the David Hardy Jr. case? It's odd how his Mustang ended up abandoned in Elizabeth, LA. Considering the groceries left behind, it seems like he wasn't planning to stop for long. Makes me wonder if he realized he was off course and was trying to ask someone for directions. Alzheimer's can be so disorienting. I read somewhere that there were possible sightings in Oakdale—I wonder if he stopped to ask someone for help before things took a turn. Also, it's a bit puzzling to me how no cameras or witnesses have come forward with more info. Hoping someone still remembers something from that day that might help shed light on where he could've gone.
I can't stop thinking about the possibility of someone taking advantage of David Hardy Jr. Given his Alzheimer's, he must have been so disoriented and confused when he made that wrong turn. The fact that his car was found with groceries in the backseat really makes me wonder. Did someone possibly offer him assistance on the road and then have ill intentions? It’s worrying to think he might have placed his trust in the wrong person due to his vulnerable state. Anyone traveling near Interstate 49 during that time remember seeing anything unusual? Even the smallest detail could be crucial. Keeping his family in my thoughts as they search for answers.
