I’ve been following the tragic case of Stevenson Lemont Bailey, aka "Smiley," and I just can't get over how much he meant to those around him. I've seen a few discussions about the shooting itself, but has anyone looked into what was happening in the community around that time? Sometimes there are patterns or other incidents that might provide some clues. Smiley was clearly loved by so many—his passion for fishing and dogs really spoke to how he enjoyed life. It's hard to imagine someone wanting to take away such a positive presence. My thoughts are with his wife Latoya and the entire Bailey family. If anyone has any more insight into the environment in Florence around his passing, it could help piece things together. Let's keep supporting each other and hope for some justice for Smiley.

I can't stop thinking about Smiley's dogs after reading about his tragic passing. Everyone close to Steve seems to mention how much he loved raising them, and I can’t help but wonder where they are now. Does anyone know if family members took them in? I imagine they brought him so much joy and comfort over the years. It's just another layer of sadness to think about what might happen to his beloved pets. If anyone has any information, or if there's a way to support Steve's family in taking care of them, I’d be glad to help out. Losing someone so cherished is tough enough without having to worry about his four-legged friends, too.
