I've been following the case of James "Boopa" McLean, and it's so jarring to see how much it's affected life in Hamer. I recently passed by Oakland Road where the incident happened, and it's tough to shake off the heavy feeling there. You can sense the community's bewilderment and sorrow. It's haunting to think about what he might have gone through in his final moments. I really hope that the investigation by Sheriff Pernell and his team leads to some answers soon. Justice needs to be served for James, not only for the sake of his family but also for the whole community. It's so difficult when there's such a void of information. Hamer is too small of a community for something like this to be left unresolved. It's critical that we keep talking about these incidents and supporting James's family in their pursuit of justice. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved him.
