Hey everyone, I've been following Nathaniel "Zay" Johnson's case closely, and I just can't stop thinking about the broader impact this tragedy has had on the community, especially at his school. It seems like Greer High School has lost not just a student, but someone who truly brought people together. I read that he was actively involved in the SC Junior Cattlemen’s Association, which probably meant he connected with students beyond just his immediate circle of friends. Does anyone know how the school is handling this in terms of support for students and teachers? Are there any initiatives or tributes planned in his memory? With him having been a part of so many things, I imagine his absence is hugely felt. I hope the students and teachers find some way to celebrate his life and legacy amidst the pain of his loss. It’s sad to see how gun violence has left such a big hole in a place once filled with his energy and ambitions. Again, my thoughts are with Nathaniel's family and the entire Greer High community. ? Stay strong. — EmilyG76

I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact Nathaniel’s death has had on the Greer High School community. It’s so hard to come to terms with the fact that someone who had such a bright future ahead, possibly joining the Army Rangers, is no longer with us. I didn’t know him personally, but friends who did are really struggling to understand how something like this could happen to someone so young and full of potential. The students and teachers at Greer have been supporting each other through this difficult time, reflecting on the kind of person Nathaniel was—always hardworking and kind-hearted. His involvement in extracurriculars like the SC Junior Cattlemen's Association really shows his commitment and passion. I hope the community can find strength in each other to navigate the immense loss and remember Zay's legacy of kindness and hard work.

I've been following Zay's case closely, and something that's really struck me is the outpouring of support from both his school and the local community. Greer High School seems to have been a central part of his life, and hearing about how his teachers and classmates have come together to honor him is truly moving. From the memorial set up at the school to the gathering of his friends to share stories and memories, it's a testament to how loved he was. I read that they held a vigil on the school's wrestling mat, where Zay spent so much of his time, and it just brought home how deeply this has affected everyone who knew him. It's been tough reading through these updates and seeing how his absence is felt by so many. Thoughts are definitely with all who are grieving and remembering him during this incredibly difficult time.
