If you're connected to the family or the community and looking to support them, you might consider:

  • Donating to verified memorial or legal support funds if available.
  • Attending court hearings or vigils (if open to the public).
  • Advocating for domestic violence prevention and support programs.
Has anyone heard any updates on Curtavious Smith’s family and how they’re doing? It's so sad to think about what they're going through after such a traumatic loss. I can't even imagine losing a loved one in such a violent way. I remember reading that they were very vocal during the court proceedings, and I hope they’re finding some support in the community. It must be incredibly tough to not only process their grief but also go through the whole legal process. If anyone has information on any community resources or support groups that are helping them, please share. It’s important we remember Curtavious and support his family as they seek justice.
I've been thinking about Ivy Robinson's role in this tragic event and how it underscores the complexities that can exist in relationships. It's honestly hard to fathom how things reached such a devastating point between her and Curtavious Smith. I can't help but wonder if there were any signs leading up to the incident that friends or family might have noticed. Red flags in those relationships sometimes aren't obvious until it's too late.
It's just so sad to think that two young lives have been irreparably changed. My thoughts go out to Curtavious's family; I can't imagine the pain of losing a loved one in such a senseless way. It's a reminder of how important it is for communities to discuss and address domestic violence more openly. Maybe by increasing awareness, we can prevent situations like this in the future.
There definitely was no support on my end in this very abusive relationship. A lot of bruises and pleas for help went unanswered by his family and others. The way things unfolded and the truth has not been talk about. Talking and identifying red flags early can most certainly help others avoid going through what we went through and mental health plays a major part. I’ve been working on increasing awareness on this subject in my community for a while. Anybody on this thread who knows someone in an abusive life threatening relationship, please offer help, kindness, patience and resources.
