I've been thinking a lot about the security measures (or lack thereof) at the Lions Gate Apartments where Devonte Byrd was tragically killed. It's hard to wrap my head around such a senseless act happening in a place meant to be home - a safe haven. If it turns out that there were lapses in security, it raises serious concerns about how apartment complexes prioritize safety. How widespread is this issue, I wonder?
