Did anyone else hear about the incident involving Jose Alfredo Rodriquez-Alvarez at Depoe Bay? It's a grim reminder of how unpredictable those sneaker waves can be. From what I've gathered, he was standing on a sea wall to get a closer view, which a lot of people do without realizing the risk. Those waves can come out of nowhere and are incredibly powerful! I've read that the Oregon coast is notorious for this kind of danger, and it's so important to be vigilant when you're near the water, especially during high surf warnings. Please stay safe out there, folks—no photo is worth the risk. Does anyone else have knowledge about similar cases in that area or how locals are educated on this?
