It's truly difficult to wrap my head around this tragedy. What's been really haunting me is the question of how such a dangerous weapon ended up in a city park to begin with. You'd think there'd be better measures in place to prevent firearms from reaching places frequented by kids and families. Knowing that Zackary and his friend stumbled upon it makes the loss feel so much more senseless. I'm really hoping the police are able to find some answers here. The responsibility of whoever owned that gun needs to be examined. My heart goes out to Zackary’s family and friends – no one should have to endure such pain and confusion over something so preventable.
