I've been thinking a lot about the safety protocols that should have been in place during Shaner’s transport. It’s really concerning to me that a person with clear suicidal tendencies, like Dennis Shaner, was in an environment where he could access a weapon. Why wasn’t there more stringent oversight, especially given his visible injuries and mental health history? I can’t imagine the pain his family must be going through, knowing that his death might have been preventable with proper precautions. It makes you wonder about the accountability of these private transport companies; they should be ensuring safety, not cutting corners. There are still so many unanswered questions about who is being held responsible for these lapses. Was anyone ever actually disciplined or was it all swept under the rug? It’s upsetting to know that these kinds of oversights might still be happening. ?️
