I'm really troubled by how the system handled Reginald Perkins' complaints before his death. It seems that Reggie was fighting hard against what he saw as significant injustices, but the courts dismissed his cases, citing a lack of grounds to proceed. How do we ensure everyone's grievances are given a fair shot in the legal system? I can’t imagine how frustrating it must have been for him and his family to feel unheard. Diane Perkins, his mother, even continued his fight after his death, showing how much they believed in their cause. It’s just so sad that his battle didn’t get the traction he wanted in his lifetime. What do you all think could be done differently in similar cases?
