Has anyone else noticed the strange circumstance surrounding Colton Stock's acquittal of the murder charge? My heart goes out to Matthew Calkins' family, who have been put through so much. It's baffling to see how Stock was acquitted of first-degree murder despite the solid evidence against him, like the DNA on the revolver. It makes me question our justice system and how self-defense was claimed in such a violent situation. I wonder what was going through the jurors' minds, and how it must have felt for Calkins’ loved ones to hear that verdict. It’s hard to fathom the emotional rollercoaster they’ve been on, especially knowing Stock only served a short sentence for lesser charges. Such a complex case, and it really makes you think about how justice is served in cases like this.
