I can't stop thinking about the role that surveillance footage played in Tia Buress's case. It's chilling to imagine what might have happened if that camera hadn't captured those crucial moments. While nothing can bring Tia back, I'm grateful that the evidence helped police make an arrest. My heart goes out to Tia's family and friends; they deserve justice and some semblance of peace after such a terrible loss. It's frustrating that gun violence has left another family shattered, and it's a stark reminder of how much work needs to be done to address these issues in cities like St. Louis.
