I was reading more about Eddie Hill IV's case, and the lack of progress is incredibly frustrating. What strikes me is how these senseless acts of violence are impacting not just families but entire communities. At the vigil, you could feel the community’s resolve to be heard and push for change. Eddie's father, Eddie Hill III, has shown such strength in the face of unimaginable loss. It’s really upsetting that despite this public attention, the investigation seems stalled. Does anyone know what more can be done at a community level to support his family and put more pressure on the authorities to keep the investigation active? It feels like something has got to give, and parents like Eddie’s shouldn't have to fight for justice on their own.

I keep thinking about the bigger picture of Eddie Hill IV's tragic death and how it reflects this horrifying trend of gun violence plaguing our communities. It’s devastating to see yet another family torn apart and a bright future lost. Eddie’s academic talents and cheerful spirit should have been nurtured, not stolen away. Attending the vigil must’ve been a powerful experience for those present—seeing educators alongside family, all united in their grief and determination for change. It just makes me wonder what more can be done to make our streets safer. Why isn’t this issue getting enough attention from those in charge? I hope someone steps forward with information soon. It’s haunting to think that the person responsible is still out there. Sending strength and empathy to Eddie's family and everyone in the community. We need more than thoughts and prayers; we need action and answers.
