Does anyone else feel absolutely stunned by how often protection orders seem to fail those they're meant to protect? Sandrina Khan's case is such a stark reminder of this troubling issue. Despite having a full protection order against Michael Garrett, it clearly wasn't enough to keep her safe. I can't help but think about how terrifying it must have been for Sandrina to live with that constant threat hanging over her. It's utterly tragic that her young child was there when everything happened. I hope that little one is getting the love and care needed right now. My heart goes out to Sandrina's family and friends, who are left grappling with such a devastating loss. We need to seriously reevaluate how we approach cases of domestic violence and make sure these victims are truly protected. How can we do better as a society to prevent these horrors from continuing to happen?

I'm sitting here thinking about that poor child who was found in the house during this tragic event. It's just unimaginable to think about the kind of trauma they could have experienced at such a young age. Being in the middle of such chaos and losing a mother in such a violent way is something no child should ever have to endure. I really hope they’re receiving the care and support they need from loving family members and professionals who can help them through this. It’s cases like this that remind us how domestic violence affects everyone involved, not just the direct victim. We really need stronger measures to protect families from these horrors before they happen. My heart goes out to Sandrina's family and everyone affected by this tragedy. Stay strong.
