I’ve been following the case of Leovardo Moreno Jr. and his cousin Austin Quijas since that tragic night in August 2019. My heart goes out to their families. I can't begin to imagine the pain they're going through, losing someone so young and full of life. One thing that's been weighing on my mind is the impact this has on the surrounding community. It’s not just the families of Leovardo and Austin who suffer; it's the whole neighborhood that feels this loss. I've read that the Power and Light District is always bustling with activity, and there's a real sense of vibrancy there. To think that something so heinous could occur amidst such an upbeat setting is truly unsettling. Makes you wonder about the safety measures in place and whether they’re enough. I hope their families find some solace and that we can come together as a community to push for lasting change and justice for Leovardo and Austin. If anyone reading has connections or influence in the community, maybe consider suggesting more local initiatives aimed at reducing gun violence. We can't let these tragedies persist. Anyone else have thoughts on what’s being done or could be done to make the area safer?

Did anyone else hear about the details shared by Elisa Moreno at the vigil? Her recounting of the night was so vivid and truly puts into perspective just how quickly life can change. It's hard to imagine the shock and horror they must have experienced. I hope that her bravery in speaking out encourages others who might have witnessed something to come forward. Even the smallest piece of information could be vital for the investigation. It's beyond difficult for families to deal with such a tremendous loss, and the community needs to rally together to support them and find justice for Leovardo and Austin. ? If anyone has any updates or heard anything from KCPD, please share. It feels like there has to be more to uncover in this case.

I’ve been following the Leovardo Moreno Jr. case and it’s genuinely weighing on my heart. One thing that's really stuck with me is the idea that this tragedy might not have been random. It’s terrifying to think that someone could have targeted Moreno and Austin Quijas, two young men out enjoying themselves on a night out. Why would anyone choose to destroy such vibrant lives? And if it was indeed targeted, what could possibly have been the motive? I remember when Kansas City had that vigil for Leovardo. It really showed how much he was loved. His sister Elisa’s words about the night still echo in my mind. Changing from joy to terror so quickly is unimaginable. He sounded like such a passionate guy, especially with his love of Jeeps and family. It's just so hard to make sense of it all. I hope and pray that someone comes forward with new information. Living with this unsolved feels unbearable not just for the Moreno family, but for the community that’s still grappling with fear from such violence. If anyone knows anything, even if it seems small, it could make all the difference in getting justice for these families.
