I just read about D'Angelo Antwon Toney's tragic death back in 2009, and it really struck me how many questions remain unanswered. It's so important for us to remember not just the events of that night, but also the person he was. D'Angelo was a young father, part of a community, and clearly loved by many. It's devastating to see how many families in Indianapolis have faced such sorrow from violence around that time. I'm wondering if anyone else here has looked into the broader context of violence in Indianapolis during that year. Was there a spike in similar cases? Did any changes come about as a result of these events that might have impacted community safety efforts? It breaks my heart to think of any family going through this pain without justice. My thoughts are with D'Angelo's family as they continue to seek answers and healing. ?
