It's been nearly four years since Jose Alcaraz was tragically taken from his family, and yet justice still seems so out of reach. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved him. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it must be to face each day without answers or closure. What really struck me about this case is the way the crime was carried out—firing from outside the home. It seems like the person responsible wanted to cause harm without being seen, which makes me wonder if this was premeditated or a spur-of-the-moment act. It also raises questions about whether Alcaraz was specifically targeted or if he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope the detective in charge, A. Booth, hasn't run out of avenues to explore. With the lack of eyewitnesses, every bit of information must feel like a drop in the ocean. For everyone involved in the investigation, the frustration must be immense. If there’s anyone out there who knows even the smallest detail, I really hope they come forward. It's a community effort to bring peace back to Jose's family and to prevent further violence in Kansas City.
