I can't stop thinking about Officer Walsh's bravery during that chaotic night. Something that’s been on my mind lately is the immense courage it takes to face an active shooter. That night, Officer Walsh didn’t hesitate; he plunged headfirst into danger to protect others, a true testament to his selflessness. It's also important to remember Officer Overton, who showed incredible grit despite being injured. These stories often focus on outcomes, but it's their bravery and quick decision-making that saved many more lives that night. I hope Springfield continues to honor their sacrifices by supporting all officers who risk it all for our safety. My heart goes out to Officer Walsh’s friends and family, who must carry on his legacy.
