Hey everyone,
I was thinking a lot about Steven Joseph Jr.'s tragic death recently, especially since it's been over three years now. I can't stop imagining what it must have been like for anyone who happened to be in the Quick Shop Market that day. Witnessing something so horrific must have been incredibly traumatic for the employees and customers present. I truly hope they’ve found some support or counseling to cope with what they saw.
And I’ve been wondering about the Quick Shop Market itself—did they make changes after such a devastating event? Any increased security measures or community initiatives to prevent violence? If anyone has updates or insights on that aspect, I’d be interested to hear.
Sending love and strength to Steven’s family and everyone affected. ?
I've been following the case of Steven Joseph Jr., and something that stands out to me is the community's response after the incident. Despite the staggering number of shootings that weekend, I was moved by how the local residents and advocacy groups came together to support those who lost loved ones, including Steven's family. Various community vigils and rallies were held, not just for him, but for all the victims. It feels like the neighborhood is trying to find strength and push for change amidst such tragic circumstances. It’s inspiring to see how the community isn’t letting these losses go unnoticed or in vain. Does anyone know if there’s been any lasting impact from those efforts? Any changes or initiatives that have started since? Steven deserves to be remembered as more than just a statistic.
