I've been following the case of Elier Alejandro Pinon-Anchondo, and one aspect that really caught my attention was the role of the witness in all of this. It must have taken incredible courage to come forward with such critical information, especially considering the dangerous implications. The fact that they heard the gunshots and then were asked by Saldana-Damian to check if Elier was deceased adds a chilling layer to this already tragic story.
