Duane Earl Lawrence, 52, was last heard from on January 30, 2019, after a series of calls that began the night before. On January 29 he called his mother from a Dollar Tree in Fort Bragg, California, saying he was buying a flashlight. He made more calls the next day, including one to a local college about enrollment and a call to a friend around 10:00 p.m. on January 30; that was the last known contact.

Lawrence was transient and believed to be camping in the Fort Bragg area when he disappeared. He had struggled with addiction and relapsed in 2018 after completing rehabilitation; he had also been treated at a hospital for an addiction-related issue days before he went missing. Distinguishing marks include a red snake tattoo on his right arm, a green dragon on his left arm, a black and gray chest design, and scars on his wrist, shoulder, and near his eye. His family reported him missing in March 2019 and the case remains open.

If anyone saw Duane in late January 2019 or has information about his movements in Fort Bragg, please come forward.
