That was the last time anyone heard from him.
Duane was transient at the time, believed to be camping in the Fort Bragg area. He had struggled with addiction and had relapsed in 2018 after completing rehabilitation. He had recently been treated for an addiction-related issue at the hospital just days before his disappearance.
Duane had several distinguishing tattoos, including a red snake on his right arm, a green dragon on his left arm, and a black and gray design on his chest. He also had scars on his wrist, shoulder, and near his eye.
