Hey everyone, I've been following the Devin Dawkins case and something that caught my attention is how often crimes happen near that particular area, especially around East 12th Street and Grand Boulevard. It's incredibly concerning. I can't help but wonder about the safety measures in place there. Has anyone heard if the city plans to increase surveillance or police presence in this area? It seems like a hotspot for crime, and it breaks my heart for not only Devin's family but all the residents who have to live with fear on a daily basis. Has anyone else been following the Devin Dawkins case and noticed the lack of CCTV footage being discussed? It's surprising considering the shooting happened in a pretty central part of Kansas City near East 12th Street and Grand Boulevard, an area you'd think would have cameras. I feel for Devin's family; it must be so frustrating to not know if there's potentially valuable evidence out there not being utilized fully. Kansas City has a solid network of surveillance cameras in various districts, and it's puzzling that this hasn't come up much in the investigation updates. If anyone has been through that intersection recently, did you notice any cameras or increased police presence? It seems like in today's world, there's usually more to work with than we realize. It’s just so unsettling not having the closure about what exactly happened to Devin that night. ??️♂️
