I’ve been reading about Paul Matison’s disappearance, and something that sticks out to me is the location he was last seen—the Court Street Bridge. For those not familiar, it’s a pretty central spot in Rochester with a fast-moving river. From what I've gathered online, the current is quite strong, especially in February with all the ice and snowmelt, which might explain why search efforts didn’t turn up much. Has anyone here with a background in river searches or knowledge of the Genesee River’s currents weighed in on cases like this before? It seems like it would’ve been nearly impossible to locate him under those conditions… if he jumped in as reported. Thoughts from locals or professionals in the area?
