Hey everyone, has anyone else been thinking about the prepaid phone Yoni Vasquez-Vasquez left behind? It's strange how the last ping was in Brooklyn, but there hasn't been anything since. It made me wonder if he possibly intended to meet someone there or had connections in that area? Given the fact that he managed to cross the border and made his way to New Jersey, maybe he's resourceful enough to navigate by himself. I'm curious if there’s a community, maybe friends or family that he was in touch with.
It's been quite some time since Yoni went missing, and I think social networks in those areas might hold clues. Has anyone looked into communities in Brooklyn with ties to Guatemala? Hoping someone comes across this and can provide more insight. Every little bit helps. Let's keep the discussion going and bring this young man home.
Has anyone else looked into the significance of Yoni's last known location being near the 73rd Precinct in Brooklyn? I did a little digging around, and it's a predominantly residential area with some industrial spaces. Does anyone know if it’s a spot where a lot of young people hang out or if it's close to shelters or community centers that might have resources for someone in Yoni’s situation? I know he apparently took his passport and some cash with him, but it seems like a bold move for such a young person, especially after all he’s been through. Curious if anyone local might shed some light on why he might have gone there.
Has anyone else noticed the pattern with missing kids who have recently crossed the border? It seems like once they're here, it's easy to slip through the cracks. Yoni Vasquez-Vasquez's case is particularly puzzling to me. He took everything with him, like he was prepared to leave. But why? And how did he end up so far from home in Brooklyn? Was he trying to meet someone or perhaps find a better opportunity? It's weird that his phone pinged near a precinct and no one has any clue where he went from there. Makes you wonder if he was trying to reach out for help or if something else entirely was going on. It's just frustrating that these young kids can just vanish with so few answers left behind. What do you all think?
