Yoni Vasquez-Vasquez, a 15-year-old Guatemalan national, was last seen on February 27, 2019, in Summit, New Jersey. Earlier in the year, Yoni had been apprehended by ICE after crossing the U.S. border illegally. He was subsequently placed in the custody of his grandfather by the Department of Homeland Security. On the day of his disappearance, Yoni left his grandfather’s home, taking all of his belongings, including his Guatemalan passport and approximately $200 in cash.
