Has anyone else been following the updates on the Donald James Wimer case? I just can't wrap my head around how things unfolded. The whole situation is such a shock to the Joplin community. I've been thinking a lot about the response from the police when they were trying to arrest James Weiss. It’s terrifying to imagine what those officers must have been going through during that standoff, especially with the fire breaking out. They train for these situations, but nothing can really prepare you for the real thing. My heart goes out to both Wimer's and Weiss's families. No one deserves to lose a loved one in such a tragic and violent way. I hope the investigators can offer some solid answers soon, not just for the community, but for the families who desperately need closure. Does anyone know if they've released the findings from the autopsy yet?
