In the winter of 1986, a 48-year-old woman named Margaret Long Underwood vanished from her home in Chattanooga, Tennessee. On January 1st, she reportedly left her residence at 3800 10th Avenue with the intention of visiting her brother. It is believed she departed in an unknown vehicle, but she never reached her destination. At the time of her disappearance, Underwood was dating a man named John Steedley, who is now deceased.
