On a cold December evening in 1990, 32-year-old Norine Higuchi Brown vanished from New Hyde Park, New York, leaving behind a life that, to many, seemed dedicated to her family. The night of December 12th, which was also the eve of her 32nd birthday, Norine reportedly left her home around 11:00 p.m. Her husband, John Brown, stated that she was heading to a nearby Pathmark supermarket to buy ingredients for Christmas cookies.
