In the early spring of 2007, 43-year-old Male Dwayne Dutton found himself in a period of transition. He had recently moved out of the home he shared with his ex-wife in Orem, Utah, and it is believed he may have been living out of his purple Dodge Durango at the time. The last known sighting of Dutton was in Orem, Utah, on or around the first of April. After this last contact, he vanished, leaving behind a life and a family who would soon be left with only questions.
His family and friends grew increasingly concerned as days turned into weeks without any word from him. The silence was uncharacteristic and deeply unsettling for those who knew him.
More than two weeks after he was last seen, a significant discovery was made in his case. On April 18, 2007, Dutton's purple Dodge Durango was found abandoned and locked at Squaw Peak. The discovery of his vehicle, while a major development, unfortunately, provided few answers. Inside the vehicle, there was no sign of a struggle or any indication of foul play. Authorities learned that Dutton was an avid outdoorsman who was familiar with the numerous caves in the area where his car was located, leading to the theory that he may have gone missing while hiking. In response to this, the Utah County Search and Rescue team conducted searches of Squaw Peak and Provo Canyon, utilizing both aircraft and ground hikers, but their efforts yielded no clues as to Dutton's whereabouts.
Dwayne Dutton is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, standing at 5'10" and weighing between 165 and 185 pounds. He has a distinctive tattoo of a Grim Reaper on his left forearm. He has also undergone back surgery and has had extensive dental work. The investigation into his disappearance, handled by the Orem Police Department, also included plans to review his bank and phone records for any activity. Despite the passage of many years, his case remains unsolved with very little evidence to suggest what might have happened to him after he parked his vehicle at Squaw Peak. The lack of any new leads or information has left his family in a state of prolonged uncertainty, holding onto hope for answers in the mysterious disappearance of Male Dwayne Dutton.Last Seen: Apr 1, 2007
