Kon-Wai Young, a 53-year-old fisherman, was last seen on October 15, 2011, after setting out on a solo fishing trip from the Maunalua Bay boat ramp in Hawaii Kai, Oahu. He departed that morning aboard his 19-foot green and white vessel but did not return by sunset, as expected. Concerned, his family went to the boat ramp, where they found his vehicle and trailer but no sign of Young or his boat.
