Noemi Alcotas, a 34-year-old woman from Honolulu, Hawaii, went missing on October 10, 2014, while hiking with her boyfriend, Jojo Acosta, near the scenic Rock Bridge area adjacent to Hanauma Bay. Despite the location being restricted to the public, the couple ventured there, where it is believed that both were swept off the rocks by a large wave.
