In the winter of 2015, a young man named John Switzer, 24 years old and from Starkville, Mississippi, vanished while on a vacation in Gulf Shores, Alabama. He was last in contact with his family on a Saturday, when he took his kayak out into the Gulf of Mexico for a day of fishing.
