Wayne Dee Heath, a 37-year-old man, disappeared on April 1, 1986, while fishing with a friend on the South Fork of the Snake River in Bonneville County, Idaho. The pair had launched their boat near the Palisades Dam when an anchor rope became tangled in the boat's propeller, causing the boat to fill with water. Both men attempted to swim to shore, but Heath did not make it. Despite extensive search efforts, his body was never recovered at the time.
